The Point Crossing is an affordable housing development adjacent to Aurora, Colorado’s Nine Mile Station. The development makes housing attainable for working families at a fast-growing, transit-adjacent hub. Along with the planned community The Point at Nine Mile, this building integrates attainable housing, artistic elements and natural features into an inviting structure that matches the neighborhood’s ethos and aesthetic.
KTGY’s designers maximized occupancy on this site with an efficient bar-shaped building mass. The overall design and aesthetic are urban contemporary, with wood accents, contrasting colors and sparks of personality. Amenity spaces are highlighted at the two ends of the building, with ground floor glazing and murals aligned to the neighborhood’s aesthetic. A spacious rooftop amenity deck offers views of the Front Range, completing the image of an integrated, active and creative community catered to a wide range of Coloradans.
