Description:
Four distinct pedestrian friendly neighborhoods on a prominent parcel near historic town center’s overall redevelopment area. Housing demand and unprecedented pricing mandated higher density approach that was very new to this part of the Bay Area. A sense of connection to the town center was important, and was constrained by wetlands and open space that surround the parcel on three sides.

The four neighborhoods work with street hierarchies to present separate definition without strict dividing lines, enhancing the sense of an in-town mini village. Highest density plotting at plan core is softened by a central green and frontage on main interior street. Home business options for selected three-story homes will bring retail/office potential that underscores village definition.
